Greg Alterman Greg Alterman

Greg Alterman is a creative, serial entrepreneurial veteran and founder of multiple successful branded lifestyle companies.  In 1995, Alterman formed the Atlanta-based lifestyle apparel brand alternative apparel around the concept of offering the most premium blank t-shirt and casual sportswear on the market.  By 2002, Alterman was honored by Inc. magazine, making the Inc. magazine 500 fastest growing companies list.  Today Alternative Apparel is known in promotional, retail, and wholesale markets, and operates three retail stores in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York City.  Additionally, Alternative Apparel has an international reach and has branded products in over 100 countries worldwide. Alternative Apparel was sold to Hanesbrand Inc. in October of 2017. 

In 2013, Alterman saw an opportunity to refine the cold pressed juice space and co-created LA’s fashionable retail and wholesale branded juice label "JUICE | served here" (“JSH”).  Manufacturing JUICE | in its own bottling plant in downtown Los Angeles, jsh has a national wholesale distribution footprint and owns and operates 12 stores in the Southern California area.  Alterman currently serves on the jsh board of directors.

Alterman currently is launching m/f people, inc., a complete lifestyle apparel and skincare brand based on the simple principles of minimalism. The creative branded visionary skills he developed from 25 years in the apparel space will ensure m/f to leadership and will be needed to disrupt an untapped market. His plan is to combine "art" with digital "science” and create a lifestyle brand that will make life simpler for m/f clientele.
Greg lives in Malibu, CA with his wife and four kids.
